SHALLOW

Can't you see me?
Do you care?
Is my existence nothing more than a simple convenience?
A service to your every whim?

Can you hear me?
Do you hear a symphony of violins, the sound of sunshine?
Or am I a disturbance, a clash to be silenced

Do you listen?
Or are my words spirits that escape your heart
When our eyes meet,
Do my thoughts elude the fabric of your mind?

Do you feel?
Does my diseased soul move you to tears?
Or is my tortured state another one of your life's masterpieces

Take a look into my mind,
The depth of my imagination far exceeds your wildest fantasies.
The perceived wall is really the doorway to Peace, and Joy.
But your heart is too shallow to know Love,
And so, you miss me!
